Good price But Beware!
I was phoned by Quote a Car shortly after using Confused.Com. The salesman was quite pushy but he did give me a good price. Nowhere in the phone conversation did he inform me that he was an agent and not an insurance company. I took out my insurance and wanted to pay monthly. He asked for a substantial deposit and said that payments were spread over 9 months rather than 12. What he failed to tell me was that I would be using a third party credit company. Everything was ok until I needed to cancell as my car broke down beyond repair. I cancelled my insurance with them and recieved a bill for over £24 for the priveledge! There has been no mention of a refund from the insurance company and it looks as if I will still owe the Credit company money even after I receive a refund.Qoute a car may give you a good price but their sales reps are very pushy and do not make all of the facts known. If you can pay the full amount up front they are fine to use but if you need to spread repayments out over a few months, beware as you could end up owing them and the credit company money if you have to cancel!
